limestone basins at Huanglong ChinaThe limestone containers is in northern Sichuan Province, west-midway China, in the southern part of the Min Shan Range in the ballpark of 230 km north of Chengdu. The Scenic Area is isolated between two locales: Huanglong valley, 45 km northeast of Songpan town, which likewise incorporates the entire Fujiang waterway catchment above Shijiabao village; and the Muni valley, 15 km south-west of Songpan, which incorporates the catchments of the Zhaga travertine waterfall and the Erdaohai mineral ponds. This is an exceptional karst scene within the southern part of the Min Shan go which runs from the eastern huanglong_0_2Qinghai-Tibetan level down to the Sichuan pan. The Huanglong segment of the store blankets the catchment of 22 tributaries of the upper Fujiang River which has it is origin in Snow Mountain Ridge. The Huanglong valley itself is one of the aforementioned tributaries. The slants above the valleys are forested and steep, a fabulous sample being the 15km long 700m profound Danyun Gorge of the Fujiang close Huanglong valley. Above the tree line the destination is surrounded by mountains, their strata tilted into rugged tops, several bearing icy masses, seven over 5000m elevated and all snow-secured for a great part of the year. The pyramidal summit of Xuebaoding (Snow-Treasure Peak) is for all time snow-secured and conveys the easternmost icy mass in China.
